Measure Hoop Earrings at Home

Use a millimeter ruler or calipers and measure the earring off your ear. A firm ruler is easier to read across a small opening than a flexible tape.

CTW means total carat weight. In this table, it adds together the diamond weight across both earrings. It is not the weight of one diamond or the earrings' total weight in grams. Notice that the two 12mm designs have different CTW values. Compare millimeters for size and CTW for diamond weight.
