Product, Materials & Ethics
Lab-grown diamonds can be a more responsible choice for buyers who want to avoid diamond mining. They reduce concerns linked to mining, conflict, and land disturbance. Leonids also uses recycled precious metals and recyclable packaging. Read more about our Genuinely Sthical Information.
Not every small accent diamond has its own grading report. Leonids provides an IGI report for each single diamond of 0.5 carat or larger. If the center stone is under 0.5 carat, the finished piece receives an AGL finished-jewelry certificate.
No. Leonids makes each piece after you place your order. The final IGI report number is not available before checkout. We provide the certificate details after your order ships. Education & Resources
Carat Freedom is Leonids’ factory-direct pricing approach. Leonids manages production and removes traditional wholesale and retail layers. This lets more of your budget go toward the diamond, metal, setting, and finish. Carat Freedom does not mean lower quality. Leonids uses lab grown diamonds with D to E color and VS to VVS clarity. Every finished piece also passes a quality inspection before shipping. Source: Leonids Quality.

Our Materials
Lab-grown diamonds are produced in a laboratory by simulating the extreme conditions in which natural diamonds form. A diamond ‘seed’ is set in carbon-rich conditions inside a sophisticated growth chamber. Using our exclusive growth technique, the seed develops into a rough diamond. The rough diamond is then planned, laser cut, polished & finished just like a mined diamond is. Common two methods include high pressure and high temperature (HPHT), which converts graphite into diamond through high pressure and temperature, and chemical vapor deposition (CVD), which forms diamond crystals by depositing carbon atoms layer by layer by decomposing a carbon
source gas in a vacuum environment. These methods can precisely control the growth process of diamonds, thereby producing high-quality, impurity-free diamonds. They embody the years of hard work and wisdom of countless scientific researchers and have promoted major changes in the diamond industry.
Lab-grown diamonds are diamonds artificially grown in a laboratory. Their chemical composition and structure are exactly the same as natural diamonds, and they are also impeccably hard and bright. The lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds, and the price is only 30-50% of natural diamonds. Undoubtedly, They are an environmentally friendly alternative to natural diamonds. Moissanite is a natural synthetic gemstone that is highly regarded for its outstanding fire. Its Mohs hardness is 9.25, second only to diamond, and it is very durable. But it is not a real diamond. Its structure and composition are very different from natural diamonds.
In fact, moissanite has more dazzling fire than diamonds and can emit colorful brilliance in various lighting conditions. Whether you choose lab-grown diamonds or moissanite, they both have more environmental and ethical advantages over natural diamonds. Lab-grown diamonds avoid the environmental damage and labor exploitation caused by mining, while moissanite reduces the demand for natural resources through an efficient synthetic process.
Yes. Because our lab grown diamonds are man-made in our controlled laboratory setting, they are 100% conflict-free and do not require mining tons of earth to find them. All local labor laws are followed, including child labor laws, and the creation of our lab grown diamonds is free from funding violence, warlords, corrupt governments, or other human rights abuses.
The right metal depends on your preferred color, lifestyle, skin sensitivity, desired durability, and budget. Here's a quick guide to help you find your perfect match:
10K Solid Gold — Practical & Durable
Gold Purity: 41.7%
Choose 10K gold if you want genuine gold with excellent durability at a more accessible price. Its lower gold content makes it more resistant to everyday wear, with a subtle and understated gold tone.
14K Solid Gold — Best Balance 🔥
Gold Purity: 58.5%
Our most popular choice for everyday jewelry. Choose 14K gold if you're looking for the ideal balance of rich color, durability, value, and everyday wearability. It's a great choice for engagement rings, wedding bands, and pieces you'll wear often.
18K Solid Gold — Premium & Luxurious
Gold Purity: 75%
Choose 18K gold if you prefer a richer gold color and higher gold purity. It has a more luxurious look and is generally gentler on sensitive skin, though it is softer than 10K and 14K gold and requires a little more care.
Platinum — Premium & Naturally White 🔥
Platinum Purity: 95%
Choose platinum if you love a naturally white metal and want exceptional durability. It's hypoallergenic, dense, and highly durable, making it an excellent choice for engagement rings and wedding bands designed for a lifetime of wear.
Sterling Silver — Elegant & Budget-Friendly
Silver Purity: 92.5%
Choose sterling silver if you're looking for a bright, elegant look at a more accessible price. It's ideal for occasional wear, everyday styling, and layering pieces. With proper care, it can remain beautiful for years, though it is softer than gold and platinum and may naturally tarnish over time.
Still deciding? Here's a quick guide:
- Best for everyday balance: 14K Gold
- Best for maximum gold purity: 18K Gold
- Best for durability on a budget: 10K Gold
- Best premium white metal: Platinum
- Best budget-friendly option: Sterling Silver
