Bezel Set Diamond Engagement Rings
You want a diamond ring that feels smooth, protects the center stone, and is less likely to snag during your day. Our lab grown diamond bezel engagement rings use a slim metal rim around the center stone for added edge protection and a clean, modern look. 2 carat is one of the most popular sizes for lab-grown diamond engagement rings, offering noticeable finger coverage while remaining practical for everyday wear. Choose a full bezel for more coverage bezel that leaves more of the diamond open to light. Bezel Diamond Engagement Rings FAQ
A lab grown diamond bezel engagement ring has a lab grown center diamond held by a thin metal rim. The metal wraps around all or part of the diamond. This smooth edge protects the stone and gives the ring a modern look.
Look for brands that show the exact elongated cushion bezel design you want. Compare the diamond’s length and width, the shape of its rounded corners, bezel thickness, and band width. Check the grading details and custom-order terms. If you want this shape from Leonids, contact the team to confirm whether your requested design can be made.
A bezel setting holds a stone with a metal rim around all or part of its edge. A prong setting holds it with individual metal claws. A bevel is an angled edge on a ring or other component. It describes the edge shape, not a separate stone-setting method. A bezel or prong ring can also have beveled edges.
A full bezel wraps around the whole diamond. A half bezel holds the stone at two opposite points and leaves the sides open. Choose a full bezel for more edge protection. Choose a half bezel to show more of the diamond.
Choose a bezel setting if you work with your hands or wear gloves each day. Its smooth rim protects the diamond’s edges and is less likely to catch than exposed prongs. A prong setting shows more of the diamond, but the prongs need regular checks.
A bezel can change how light reaches the sides of a diamond, but a well-cut diamond will still sparkle. A full bezel covers more of the stone than a half bezel. Cut quality and regular cleaning also affect how bright the diamond looks.
A thin bezel can outline the diamond and make the full shape look slightly larger. A thick metal rim may make the visible face of the diamond look smaller. Compare the diamond's millimeter size and bezel width instead of judging by carat weight alone.
A straight wedding band can sit flush when the bezel setting leaves enough space beside the center stone. A low bezel may block the band and create a small gap. Choose a curved, contour, or open wedding band when you want a closer fit. Source: Brides 2024. The Knot 2025.
Oval, emerald, and radiant diamonds all work well with a bezel setting. Leonids offers these lab grown diamond shapes in 1, 2, and 3 carat sizes. For a larger center stone, check the band width, setting height, finger coverage, and wedding band fit.
Choose 14K gold if you want a lighter ring with yellow, white, or rose color options. It is durable and usually costs less than platinum. Choose platinum if you want a naturally white metal with a heavier and denser feel. Source: FTC 2024 Precious Metals Guide. Royal Society of Chemistry Platinum Data.
